OPTION 01 / Paper decor · One small space

A little corner, a lot of Halloween

Make a small flight of paper bats above a table, shelf, or window. Keep the rest of the room simple.

How to put it together

  1. 01

Download the bat outline below, or draw a simple symmetrical bat on folded scrap paper. Cut out the paper template.

  2. 02

Trace and cut six bats from black paper. Fold each gently along the center to lift the wings.

  3. 03

Lay the bats out on the table first, with the smallest higher up and larger ones lower down.

  4. 04

Test mounting tape on a hidden part of the surface. Attach the bats in a loose upward curve. Add a pumpkin or battery candle if you have one.

Good to know

Paper and real flames do not mix. Use battery-powered candles, and check your surface before applying tape.
