OPTION 01 / No sewing · Paper accessory

The black cat

Black clothes, a paper headband, and a little feline attitude. Start with what is already in your wardrobe.

How to put it together

  1. 01

Draw two triangles on cardstock, each about 7 cm tall with a 2 cm tab underneath. Cut them out.

  2. 02

Fold the tabs around a headband and tape the paper to itself. Keep any sharp edges away from your scalp.

  3. 03

Put on your black clothes and headband. A tail is optional; the ears do the work.

Good to know

Try the headband on before leaving. Keep the ears small enough to stay upright. No makeup is required.

OPTION 02 / Everyday clothes · No printing

The closet pirate

A striped shirt and a loosely tied scarf make an easy starting point for a pirate-inspired outfit.

How to put it together

  1. 01

Choose trousers and a shirt you can move in easily. Roll the sleeves if you like.

  2. 02

Tie a scarf loosely around your head or wear it as a sash. Keep your vision and breathing clear.

  3. 03

Tuck in one side of the shirt and add shoes you can walk in. Skip prop weapons and eye patches.

Good to know

No striped shirt? A plain white shirt works too. This is a simple pirate-inspired look, not a historical reproduction.

OPTION 03 / Black & white · No sewing

The silent-film star

Build a monochrome look with a white shirt, black trousers, and an optional paper bow tie.

How to put it together

  1. 01

Put together your black-and-white base outfit.

  2. 02

For an optional bow tie, cut a 12 × 6 cm rectangle of paper, pinch the center, and wrap it with a narrow paper strip.

  3. 03

Attach the bow to the outside of your shirt with removable clothing tape. Practice a dramatic silent-movie pose.

Good to know

Face paint is optional and unnecessary. Use only skin-safe cosmetics if you choose to add it.
